Performance Manners

This is a beginning manners class for dogs that plan to pursue dog sports and activities such as agility, rally, nosework, field work, barn hunt, etc. With an emphasis on engagement and focus, and dog learning to work enthusiastically with their handlers. This class is great for dogs of all ages, from puppies to adolescent dogs, or even older dogs. Topics will include foundation sport skills such as learning how to work at the handler’s side, an introduction to using targets and stations, toy and food play and using play as a reward and more. Plus all the basics like - sit, down, stay, coming when called. If your dog barks, lunges, or growls at people or dogs, your dog is not eligible for this group class, but may be suitable for Reactive Rover.
